Cranberries contain compounds called PACs, which are thought to make it harder for certain bacteria, including E. coli, to stick to the bladder wall. Research suggests cranberry products may help reduce the risk of repeat UTIs in some women, but cranberry does not treat an active UTI. Each capsule contains 277.78mg of 36:1 cranberry extract.
FOS is a prebiotic fibre from chicory root. Prebiotics act as food for beneficial gut bacteria, so FOS is included alongside the live probiotic cultures rather than using probiotics alone. Each capsule contains 50mg of FOS.
